Autowatch Ghost Immobiliser Fitter
Car thieves are becoming more sophisticated and smarter, so technology has to change to keep up. Autowatch Ghost immobiliser uses your vehicle's buttons on the steering wheel and centre console to generate an individual pincode sequence that must be entered prior to driving your vehicle.
The device isn't able to be detected by thieves, utilizes CAN data, and has no circuit breakers, making it a safe and simple-to-install system. RCA Cheadle is an approved Ghost immobiliser fitter and a member of TASSA.
No Key Fobs or LED Indications
Autowatch Ghost is an immobiliser using CAN that safeguards your vehicle from key-cloning and theft. It is integrated into the vehicle's CAN data networks and is silently operated, so that it is not detected and cannot be disabled by simple wire cutting.
It generates a unique, changeable PIN code sequence (up to 20 presses) using the buttons on your vehicle's steering wheel and door panels which must be entered before you can drive. This is the same method you use to access mobile banking or your credit card. You can alter it at anytime. This can be done in just seconds on your smartphone, with the app downloaded, or if you prefer you could use your key fob.
This is an important characteristic of the system that thieves will struggle to break or figure out as it does not require any additional electronic devices like the key fob. This means that it is impossible that the thief would know what the code is and will struggle to find an escape route to this. It's also unrecognizable by tests since there aren't any radio signals being transmitted and cannot be detected by RF scanning technology that has been used to fool security systems in recent years.
It's also weatherproof and fits inside an extremely small, waterproof device that can be plugged into the wiring harness of your vehicle at any point in your vehicle. It does not leave any marks or damage to your vehicle - making it an attractive option for those who are concerned about their vehicles and want to increase their security.
This is the best part of all. Because there aren't any signals being sent, there is no way for thieves to know that they have breached your security device, and seek ways of bypassing it. It's a fantastic addition to any car owner's security, particularly as newer cars are being targeted by criminals that can benefit from the latest technology that is used in modern vehicles that are becoming more and more sophisticated.
No Radio Signals

Like the previous example, unlike security devices for vehicles that require a key fob or a specific pin code to disable the ghost immobiliser, the ghost works silently and does not emit any radio signals. It is connected directly to the CAN bus, which means a thief will have a difficult time identifying its presence. The immobiliser won't start your car until you enter the right PIN sequence. This is only possible by pressing a set of buttons in a particular order. This can be easily controlled by using the application.
This makes it more secure than immobilisers which utilize an active system. In these systems the immobiliser will only shut off the ECU when the key is paired with an active signal. The systems can be disabled with a tag or keypad, by entering a pin code on the keypad or by pressing a particular sequence of buttons. The ghost immobiliser , however, is not able to be disabled this way. If your car is towed away or stolen it will not be able to return it until the pin code has been entered.
The ghost immobiliser has also been developed to resist the most sophisticated theft methods like copying. This is due to the fact that thieves might attempt to duplicate your key fob or even hack your vehicle's ECU in order to override the security. The CAN immobiliser blocks this by generating a unique pin code every time you start your vehicle. This means that keys that are duplicated or overridden are not able to function.
The CAN immobiliser provides excellent protection against signal boosters, which are used by thieves to circumvent standard security systems that are factory-fitted. This makes it one of the most effective and reliable immobilisers we install at Progressive Parts. It is approved by insurance companies and is popular with customers who wish to give their car over to valet parking. It also has an "Service Mode" that lets you drive your vehicle temporarily without requiring PIN codes. This is helpful when guests or valet drivers are able to drive your vehicle.
No Circuit Cuts
In recent years, vehicle theft has increased due to organised criminals employ sophisticated diagnostic tools to detect security systems. The Ghost is designed to fight this by not using circuit cuts, it is inaccessible to any diagnostics and operates silently on the vehicles CAN data circuit. It connects to the vehicle's ECU (Engine Control Unit) and a unique PIN code is entered which has to be used before the engine can begin. This means that a burglar can't simply insert a new key or replace the ECU to take your vehicle, they will need to enter the correct pin code first.
The system features a service mode that allows your vehicle to be driven and started without requiring your personal PIN. This is great for the time that your vehicle needs its service, or if you're required to leave it with a valet service or mechanic. You can also turn it off and on whenever you like so that nobody else will be able start your vehicle even when you aren't there.

The Autowatch Ghost is a discrete device of the next generation, is connected to the CAN data network inside your vehicle and has a PIN number you've established with our team. This is then entered through buttons on your steering wheel and dashboard to turn off your engine. It's a weatherproof and tiny device that cannot be detected using traditional methods, meaning there are no LED indicators and it's completely hidden during installation and fitting. The Ghost is undetectable using sophisticated technology that scans RF. It is also completely removable and can be put in and removed at anytime.
No RF Scanning
Standard immobilisers are designed to stop your car from being started in the event that you don't have the correct key fob or code. It does this by sending an immobiliser signal to the ECU. The engine control unit will then detect the signal and shuts down any compromised components.
Modern thieves are always looking to keep ahead of car manufacturers. They have modified technology such as key cloning (relay attacks), hacking (relay attacks) and even key theft. The thieves are often resorted to breaking into your home, and then scouring your letterbox, taking keys to your car from your purse or even from the ignition.
The Ghost is the first aftermarket CAN-bus immobiliser on the market that guards you against all of these dangers. It connects to the CAN bus, operates silently with no radio signals and can't be detected by RF scanners that are used by organized thieves. It is TASSA tested and endorsed by insurance companies so you can rest assured that it is safe to use and won't impact your warranty.
In contrast to an immobiliser fitted by the factory, Ghost II doesn't come with an indicator to indicate status, which means it is undetectable to any diagnostic tools. It's also not dependent on any other alarms, immobilisers or trackers you might have installed. This makes it a highly effective independent solution that is not disabled.
It's easy to use, too - just enter your pin code and the car will begin to start. The immobiliser has an option for service valet which can be activated by pressing the buttons on the steering wheel or the door panels. This is helpful when you want to leave your car with a valet service or go to a garage. You can change the pin code as often as you want, so your car is always secure.
